Using Akamai Pipeline and the Akamai CLI for Property Manager package, you can treat configuration changes just like any other piece of code within your pipeline and automate the propagation of these changes through your development pipeline:
- Automate propagation of Akamai configuration changes within your CI/CD pipeline
- Enable a microservices-based model where many developers work on code snippets only relevant to them, independently and in parallel
- Distribute, manage, and assign permissions to configuration snippets based on your organization needs
The Akamai Pipeline CLI Framework Runbook is now available as a downloadable pdf. This pdf document, compiled by Akamai Senior Enterprise Architect Duncan McAllister, provides you with supplementary installation, configuration, and usage instructions for the Akamai CLI for Property Manager 2.0. Specifically, the guide outlines preparation steps necessary to enable the Akamai Pipeline CLI framework to manage existing Akamai delivery configurations (rather than starting with net-new properties as outlined in the CLI documentation) and complex Akamai properties in general.
