Using Server-Timing for App and CDN Monitoring

If you want to know the value your CDN is providing and you don’t love digging through logs, the new Server Timing API is for you! The Server Timing API now provides developers with a standard way of gathering performance data for request/response handling during the construction of a webpage. Before Server Timing, everything between requestStart and responseStart was completely black-boxed. But now, with some carefully crafted response headers, you can report on all aspects of response handling—and collect those metrics alongside Akamai’s other browser RUM APIs, such as Navigation and Resource Timing. In this session you’ll learn how to use these techniques to achieve greater visibility into performance bottlenecks and help you provide users with the best possible browsing experience.
